Tune in to hear about our hosts&apos; favorite sessions and some entertaining tangents about their week in Boston.<br/><br/>Recipe</p><p>The Ward Eight, a classic cocktail born in Boston in 1898, was created to celebrate the election of Martin M. Lomasney, a local politician. This rye whiskey-based drink, featuring lemon and orange juices and grenadine, is a twist on the Whiskey Sour. While there are variations in its preparation, the original recipe is said to have originated at the Locke-Ober Café in Boston&apos;s eighth ward. </p><p>Ingredients</p><ul><li>2 oz. rye whiskey</li><li>5 oz. lemon juice, freshly squeezed</li><li>5 oz. orange juice, freshly squeezed</li><li>2 teaspoons grenadine</li><li>Garnish: 2 or 3 speared cherries</li></ul><p>Directions:</p><ol><li>Add the rye whiskey, lemon and orange juices and grenadine to a shaker with ice.</li><li>Shake until well-chilled.</li><li>Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.</li><li>Garnish with speared cherries.</li></ol><p>Recipe credit: <a href='https://www.liquor.com/recipes/ward-eight/'>liquor.com</a><br/><br/></p>
